Astronergy Supplies Modules to Largest PV-Rooftop Plant in Dresden, Germany
2016-11-23

Chint/Astronergy announces its completion of a supply contract to provide PV modules to the largest rooftop PV plant in Dresden. The delivery and turnkey installation of the plant was  carried out by Solmotion GmbH based in Westensee and Ravensburg (Germany).

With an installed capacity of 1,024 kWp, Chint/Astronergy crystalline solar modules are installed over 26,000 sqm of roof area on three buildings, Feldschlößchen AG becomes the brewery that has the largest photovoltaic rooftop plant in Dresden, Germany. The entire system  took four weeks of construction time.

The solar power plant is expected to produce about 961.4 MWh of green electricity per year and covers the electricity demand of 240 households. Thus, the brewery produces almost the entire energy requirement of the beer production at the Dresden site itself. With this production of solar energy, 852 tons carbon dioxide can be economized per year.

“The market shift from ground-mounted PV system to rooftop application provides good opportunities to Astronergy as we introduced high-efficiency PV modules aiming to be suitable for limited space rooftop installations. Our efforts have been recognized by our partners.” Chint/Astronergy’s Senior VP and CMO Alan Yuan commented.
